About Me

Graduated with a BS in Mathematics from the University of Kansas. I landed a banking job as a Credit Analyst shortly after finishing school, but after some time in the industry, I realized it wasn't for me. I wanted a career that served as a creative outlet, allowed me to use my problem-solving skills, and had elements of depth and mastery. A career in web/software development seemed like the perfect fit.

Starting out, I learned some HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, and jQuery from freecodecamp.com's front-end development course. It was a great resource and program to help me learn the basics before I attended Tech Talent South and completed their 8-week Code Immsersion bootcamp. At Tech Talent South, I learned about full-stack development with Ruby on Rails on the backend.

Now I am continuing to make/improve web apps in order to hone my skills as a developer while I search for my ticket into the industry.
